Pharma Mate

Privacy notice

Looking for support should not mean handing over personal data. Pharma Mate collects as little as a website can.

Short answer

Pharma Mate is a static website. The site sets no cookies, runs no analytics, has no forms and has no user accounts. The only personal data involved is the standard server log, such as your IP address and browser type, which our host Vercel processes to deliver and protect the site.

What Pharma Mate does not collect

Pharma Mate does not set cookies, use analytics, run advertising or load tracking scripts. There is no sign-up, no login, no newsletter and no contact form. Fonts, images and scripts load from the Pharma Mate domain, so no third-party service sees your visit through the page itself.

The site search and the support finder run entirely in your browser. When you type a search or pick a profession, region or need, the filtering happens on your own device. Nothing you type or choose is sent to Pharma Mate or stored after you leave the page.

Server logs kept by our host

Pharma Mate is hosted on Vercel. Like every web host, Vercel receives standard technical information each time your browser requests a page. This includes your IP address, the date and time, the page requested and your user agent, which describes your browser and device. Vercel processes this information to deliver the site and to protect the site against abuse and attacks. Pharma Mate does not use the logs to identify or profile visitors.

Read Vercel's privacy policy (opens another website) for how Vercel handles and keeps log data. The lawful basis for this processing is legitimate interests: running a secure, working website.

Links to other websites

Pharma Mate links to charities, unions, regulators, NHS services and government websites. When you follow a link, you leave Pharma Mate, and the other website's own privacy policy applies. Read the policy of any service before you share personal details with the service.

Contacting the editor

The editor is contacted through the LinkedIn profile linked on Thomas Evans's page. LinkedIn's own privacy policy covers messages sent on LinkedIn. Any message you send is used only to deal with your correction or question. Please do not send health information, case details or documents.

Your rights under UK GDPR

UK data protection law gives you rights over your personal data. These include the right to be told how your data is used, the right to see a copy, the right to have wrong data corrected, the right to have data deleted, the right to restrict or object to processing and the right to data portability. Pharma Mate holds no personal data about visitors beyond the host's server logs. To ask about your data, contact the editor through the profile on Thomas Evans's page.

If you are unhappy with how your data has been handled, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (opens another website), the UK regulator for data protection.

If Pharma Mate adds a feature which handles personal data, this notice will be updated before the feature goes live. The date at the top of the page shows when the notice last changed.
